Relocation in the pipeline for AS Mosley
After three years of planning and sorting out legal issues, we are delighted to submit a planning application for a new office at Kingswells House, Kingswells. If successful, AS Mosley will be relocated and the new building will play home to our 16 staff, who work a hybrid model with 1 day in the office per week.
Steeped in history, Kingswells House goes back to the 17th century, as was recently reported by the Press and Journal. The building was previously owned by the Summerland Trust after being bequeathed by millionaire, Clark Findlay. The charity later moved out before the building was purchased by director, Andrew Mosley in 2020. The grade B listed building is now in need of major renovation which is required to stop further decay.
Since completion of the sale, Andrew has been working behind the scenes with Lippe Architects to plan the renovation of the building, adding a shiny new extension for the relocation of AS Mosley. If successful at planning, works will start immanently, with the aim of completion over the next 18 months.
Andrew comments: "We've been looking to relocate for some time and been waiting for the right opportunity. Kingswells House is a beautiful location set in 8.5-acres of land, which is ideally positioned for our staff and many of our clients. The house has an interesting story behind it and it will be exciting to see the building brought back to life. It will make an excellent workplace where the old and the new are brought together to create a vibrant space for all."
Planning has now been submitted and the outcome awaits. Watch this space.
