AS Mosley is pleased to announce that we are sending two of our lead engineers to attend the latest UK based training event hosted by AMOG Engineering Solutions in London. AMOG developed SHEAR7 which is one of the leading oil and gas industry packages used for modelling the prediction of vortex-induced vibrations on offshore structures and consequential fatigue damage.

Vortex-induced vibration (VIV) is an important source of fatigue damage on riser systems and subsea equipment. The flow around a riser can create vortices which are shed downstream and this can cause in line or more damaging cross flow vibrations to be induced for certain conditions.

Since our establishment, AS Mosley has been using leading industry software packages to investigate the presence of VIV.
