Meet Callum Clark, Graduate Employee at AS Mosley

We thought it would be nice for our clients and friends to learn a bit more about the team behind AS Mosley. After taking on three new graduates at the end of last year, our team continues to flourish.  Meet Callum, one of our latest graduate employees, who we welcomed to the team in October last year.

Callum Clark, AS Mosley

Name: Callum Clark

Job title: Graduate Analysis Engineer

Where did you study? University of Aberdeen

What is your degree? MSc Advanced Mechanical Engineering

Where are you from originally?  I was born and bred in Mearns, and I still live there now.

What attracted you to AS Mosley?  Having worked at an engineering consultancy before, I enjoyed the variety of work and different projects you can get involved in. When I saw the job advert for AS Mosley I was impressed with the case studies, and thought it seemed like an interesting role with lots of potential.

What do you like about AS Mosley? Everyone seems very approachable and willing to give their time to help explain things, getting involved on the Claymore project at an early stage has been good for me as I find I learn best by doing.

Any dislikes? So far, so good.

What would you like to achieve?  Goals in the short term are to become an analysis engineer and chartered with the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE).

What’s your ideal job? Once I have a firm grasp of the technical side of things, I would like to work in a business development role, looking for new opportunities to provide value to our customers and supporting ongoing projects.

What are your interests? Exercising, socialising with friends and reading.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?  I enjoy going to the gym after work and doing the occasional Munro (weather permitting).

Favourite place? Edinburgh

Next holiday? Gdansk Poland

AS Mosley shortlisted for Business & Product Innovation Award

We are thrilled to be shortlisted in the prestigious FSB Awards 2023 in the category of Business & Product Innovation.

This is in recognition of developing WellScreen, and the Digital Twin technology work we have been involved in. WellScreen is a unique screening analysis tool that allows operators in the oil & gas industry to rapidly screen a number of wells at any one time. The tool tests for wellhead fatigue, and highlights wells needing more detailed analysis. The Digital Twin work was in collaboration with Strathclyde University and Fugro, where we developed a methodology for a Digital Twin for Floating Offshore Wind Turbines.

The Scottish final takes place on Wednesday 8th March in Glasgow.
